In north-western Skåne there is a workshop that has years of experience gilding beautiful objects. Olle Jönsson & Son is run by a third generation gilder, Oscar Jönsson, who has learned the old craft from his father and his grandfather. In the workshop in Strandbaden, he helps individuals, galleries and institutions gild on various materials, not just on wood. The most common assignment is picture frames, but also some odd jobs, such as the crown at Kalmar's castle that needed gilding. ”Olle Jönsson & Son also restores gilded furniture, as well as make art framing. Among other things, the company has helped the State Property Agency to restore furniture.
